While on vacation this past week, I decided to experiment with a drink I had tried on my trip to Chicago…frozé! Frozé is essentially frozen rose wine with a twist.
I looked at ton of recipes online only to find that most of them require you make your own simple syrup by boiling sugar and strawberries. Being the lazy vacationer that I am, I decided to concoct my own no boil frosé recipe! Here is how it goes…
No Boil Frozé Recipe Ingredients:
- Rosé of choice
- Juice from half a lemon
- Half a cup of frozen strawberries
- 4 tablespoons of simple syrup
I began by pouring my rosé into ice cube trays and freezing them overnight. I think a few hours would suffice if you were short of time though.
Then, I added one tray of rosé cubes and the rest of my ingredients into my ninja tumbler and…
…blended!
The results were delicious and made two drinks!
I also made another batch (not pictured) later on in the week without the strawberries and honestly, I think I liked it better! Without the strawberries, the rosé really shines though!
The best part about leaving out the strawberries also is that you don’t need a blender! Just put the cubes, lemon juice, and simple syrup into a bowl and mush with a large spoon or ladle and serve.
This no boil frosé recipe just might become a trend in my home ?! Have you tried replicating a drink you love?
