Our Trip to the Florida Keys: Baker’s Cay Resort in Key Largo

After leaving Key West we grabbed a coffee at Baby’s Coffee (so good) and headed to Key Largo!

We stayed at the absolutely STUNNING Baker’s Cay Resort in Key Largo. It was a dream. Here are some photos a took of the property and check on my reel here.

They have EVERYTHING at this resort y’all.

They have a pier, a dock, a library, a pool, hammocks, paddleboarding, kayaking, biking, fishing, and two amazingly delicious restaurants. Not to mention an awesome staff. Even better, they are dog-friendly AND kid-friendly! I don’t know how we’ll get big ol Deacon down there but it is a goal of mine to come back with Parker and Deacon one day!

We stayed in a Baker’s Cay oceanfront room. It was SO clean and having the ocean right outside the door is pretty much my love language.

Every morning, we woke up, walked downstairs, grabbed a cup of coffee, and sat by the ocean. And every night they served a champagne toast at sunset! The beach, complete with a fully stocked tiki bar, lounge chairs, and umbrellas, was just steps from everything.

One day we did venture out for a fishing trip! We had planned to go fishing in Key West but the weather wasn’t in our favor. Fortunately, we were able to get a reef trip in with Saltwater Cowboy pretty last minute and we had a great time.

We caught a bunch of fish but only a few keepers so we brought them back to the resort and ate the yellow jack as sashimi with chips and gauc and the mangrove snapper as fish tacos. Thank you Dry Rocks for making it possible! (Not pictured above, but below.)

We also ate dinner and breakfast at the Calusa (another restaurant on the resort)! The outdoor dining part reminded us SO much of the place we honeymooned in Costa Rica!

All in all, Baker’s Cay Resort was the perfect spot to rest, relax, and recharge in STYLE!

Plus flying there and back was a breeze! More on that here.

Baker’s Cay Resort, thank you for hosting us!

If I may ask, was your stay comped in exchange for your review? I understand that your opinions are yours regardless of the answer.
