Fresh Face

Let me be the first to say that I am FAR from a makeup pro… I used the same make brushes for like, 4 years. Lolz, gross. Every new year though, I get an itch to change things up so I recently went to the department store to try some new things and am excited to share them with y’all!
I feel most beautiful tan. Most days in the summer I barely wear makeup because my skin is already glowing! But the winter is a different story…I feel like I look like a pale, sleepy zombie. I used to result in covering myself in bronzer to feel presentable but I now have a new solution…contouring!
I used to think that contouring wasn’t for me because I have big cheeks (and proud of it!) but then I saw this pic of Gigi Hadid. She doesn’t let her round face stop her so why should I?!
I chose this Smashbox kit because it has easy to follow directions (haha, necessary) and it came with a brush (again, necessary).
I start my day by washing my face and putting coconut oil on it to moisturize. My skin is pretty dry so it doesn’t make me look oily. I let it sink in and pat it dry with a towel. Next, I apply my other new favorite product…the Stroke of Light eye brightener!
It is seriously amazing. I hate looking tired and this product helps me avoid that (praise hands emoji). I apply it all over my eyes and then blend it with a foundation brush. I am wearing shade 1 #paleascrap.
Next, I use Bare Minerals primer to fill my gaping pores…I mean prime my skin for foundation.
It came with my Bare Minerals starter kit (again shade light…who am I?!). I use the powder foundation next. I am honestly not super crazy about it because I am accustomed to liquid foundation, but I am giving it a fair try.
After my foundation is applied, its time to contour!
It doesn’t get any simpler than these directions, I love it!
Next I put a little blush on my cheeks, add shape to my eyebrows with a pencil and I then top the look off with mascara. Easy enough!
Comment below with your favorite makeup product, I’m dying to know more tips and tricks!
