Time to Decorate: Oh Holy Night Scroll

Well team, I have started decorating for Christmas and I couldn’t be happier!

I know some of you may say it is too soon but I disagree. By beginning the decorating process now, I am alleviating stress down the road during the hectic holiday time. Plus, after Christmas is over, I always feel like it went by too quickly and this way I get more time to enjoy the warm fuzzies that come with Christmas.

Another benefit: getting the pup used to the tree before anything breakable it on it…hello dog that looks JUST LIKE DEACON and a fallen over tree. No sir.

I will wait to decorate the tree until after Thanksgiving but everything else is fair game! Our decor last year was strictly gold, white and green but this year I am bringing red into the mix and the hubs is pumped. I will keep you updated as the process continues 😉

I was especially inspired to decorate this year after I found this amazing Oh Holy Night Scroll. It is a great reminder of the reason for the season: the birth of Jesus.

I want to cover our home with reminders of Him to help me constantly remember His promises and that He is a good, good father (one of my fav songs). This scroll is a great start.

It is impeccably made too. Alyssa at the Cottonwood Shanty has some serious skills! It comes with super heavy duty magnets (like one almost took off the tip of my finger) so that you can choose how long or short you want your scroll to be based on the space you are trying to fill.

I honestly want to leave it up year round!

Decorating for Christmas is so much fun! Love the idea of getting your pup used to the tree before you decorate. My cat is a bit of a monster when it comes to decorations– last year we had to nail the tree to the wall 😛
