Things are getting pretty festive around my house and I’m pumped to show you it all!
Where to begin…the tree! Ok, I know it is skinny but it is still mighty pretty in my opinion. I got it for my little apartment when I was living alone last year and although our big condo swallows it, I still love it. I went with a natural color scheme with pops of gold. Thank goodness I still had gift cards to Target and Home Goods.
Here are some of the ornaments I bought this year:
White with words, mercury shapes, disks, gold feather, stag, fur letter H (my fav), as well as these sweet gold antlers. Most of the furry critters I bought last year at Kohls. They have great decor at awesome prices.
Up next is our bench that secretly holds paper towels and other junk haha. I found the fur pillow at Home Goods and the Merry pillow at Target. The photo collage above it was made by one of my friend’s sister and I am obsessed with it (check out another piece she did here).
The coffee bar…I know turquoise is a bit odd but I’ve had this piece of furniture forever and it is my favorite color so I tie it in everywhere I lived.
The hardest part about decorating for me was the mantle. I was so intimidated by it so I reached out to one of my sorority sisters who is great a decorating (and great at cooking, her blog here) and she coached me right through it!
I actually found the deer head at target for $10 a few weeks ago and had no idea what I would do with it but couldn’t pass up such a good deal! I am so glad I didn’t because he is MAKING the whole room. Also, aren’t the skis adorable! They were in the dollar section at target! Score…
The best part about everything…it is all extremely functional! The bar cart… the coffee bar…the cozy blankets…and I just have to tell you, if you have rugs, you need to invest in rug pads. I recently got some for our house and praise hands emoji! I am a neat freak so when my rug shifts, it eats at me until I fix it…which was extremely often.
Ours are from rugpadusa.com and they are made in America! Go team! Get a 15% discount by using code “PR15OFF.” Trust me, they are so worth it.
Now, to sit back and enjoy…
