Make it Monday – Kir

The last time we visited my in-laws, I came across Creme de Cassis in their liquor cabinet. I had never heard of it before so I asked what type of cocktail was made with it. To my surprise, my mother in law said that people used to put it in their white wine to make it sweeter. 
It has been a few years since I wanted sweet wine but I figured I might as well give the French cocktail a shot. 
The cocktail is called Kir and all you need is 3 oz of white wine, a shot of Creme de Cassis and a shot of Sprite. 
And to tell you the truth, it wasn’t half bad! 
I have also been thinking outside of the box in the cooking department lately…one of my new favorite dishes to cook it Chicken Shawarma (pin to pinterest here). The naan bread we eat it out of isn’t the healthiest but it is oh so good! On the more heathy side of things, I made a sweet potatoes skillet with ground turkey recently as well (pin to pinterest here). It wasn’t bad per say…but is was a little strange haha. What recipes are you loving lately? I need some suggestions!
