Our laundry room makeover began around 3 months ago! Emily and Ashley of XO Home reached out to me about partnering on designing any room in our home.

Naturally, I asked them to help us with the WORST room in our home…the laundry room. Here are the before photos…

As you can see… it needed a LOT of work and love. I think Emily and Ashley were even a little intimidated by it initially too 😂.

They took the challenge though, measured, chatted with me about my needs, and came back to me with the most beautiful vision!

I loved their ideas AND how they presented them. They gave me a floor plan and options to choose from and then the laundry room makeover process began.

1st, I had my handyman come in to move the cabinets. I believe these cabinets were a part of our home’s original kitchen. When the people before us updated the kitchen, they moved a few of the cabinets into the laundry room. They clearly didn’t think about the placement though because XO Home’s plan to move them made MUCH more sense.

Step 2 was having a painter come in! They painted the walls, Sherwin Williams Greek Villa and the cabinets painted SW Oyster Bay. The result was already shocking! Paint can do wonders!

The final step was waiting for all the items to come in and when they did, Emily and Ashley scheduled our installation.

As you can see, this room isn’t just more beautiful now but it is also so much more functional!

I am obsessed with the hamper organizer, the fold-out ironing board, and the jar holding my Molly Suds. I am also excited to have my first Ruggable!

And thank GOD for the curtain covering our eyesore of a water heater and deep freezer.

All in all, it was a true, laundry room makeover!
