If I am being honest…I have been one of those girls all my life that finds 2 bras that I like and then I latch on to them. I wear them practically everyday and washing them…ha…about that.
It wasn’t until I met the amazing ladies of Chantelle at TBSCON that I learned that not only were my washing habits bad but it was also extremely likely that I was wearing the wrong size bra.
Did you know that the most sold size bra in the US is a 36C. Most women think this is their size and for that reason, retailers stock them like crazy. This however is NOT the case for most women which is why it is so important to be sized!
I was wearing a 34B or 32D depending on what I could find on sale. Rookie move. My straps were always sliding and I never felt great about my bra but hey, it was under my clothes so it didn’t really matter to me! Until…
…I met with Candyce who has been with Chantelle for years! She took me to SCHOOL on bra culture and I loved every minute of it.
She also sized me and y’all…surprise! I was wearing the wrong size!
I always knew I had a small rib cage (and thank God for it every time I put on a few pounds lol) but I had no idea that I should be wearing a size 30 band! Turns out that 90% of the bra’s support comes from the band.
Candyce informed me that I should be wearing a 30D and let me tell you, the first one I put on felt amazing. Wearing the right size really made more of a difference than I could have imagined. She also taught me that when you put on a bra you should scoop your breast tissue away from the wire. Interesting, right?! It isn’t scandalous, it is science!
I tried on practically every bra they had. Chantelle is known for their French Lingerie so this one was a must. For everyday wear, all of their demi’s rocked but I really liked this one. They also make sports bras and I can’t even begin to tell you how this one has changed my life!
Now lets talk washing. I screen shotted these tips below right from Chantelle’s site because they are SO helpful.
Bras are in investment and it is so important to take care of them! I have started my collection with a few of the bras I tried on but I am now devoted to generating a collection of bras that will not only make me feel good but look good too!
I have teamed up with Chantelle to help you start your collection too! Enter below to win 3 bras of your choice (PRAISE HANDS EMOJI)! Contest ends 11/16/16.
