Bye Banks

I am writing this post prior to the wedding but by the time you are reading it, I am a wifey and saying goodbye to my girlhood and my (temporary) home in the Outer Banks. CRAZY! It seemed only fitting for me to share some of my favorite places in the Outer Banks with you as I say my farewell.
Of course, the Foxy Flamingo is at the top of the list! If you are ever in the area you must stop by! They have the cutest, most unique outfits for any occasion. Plus, the owner, Mrs. Betsy is the sweetest and really has an eye for fashion.
Next stop on my list of favorites is the Jolly Rodger. This is quite the place, let me tell you. They serve a mean breakfast but WE mainly go for the karaoke. I can only handle it like once a month because I lose my voice but it is a blast! The windows outside are all hand painted with superstars and I obvi love to do impressions of them…(insert monkey covering his eyes emoji).

Up next is the soundside of the Outer Banks. I love the ocean but the sound is beautiful and it always has the most amazing sunsets! This spot is on Bay Drive and around the 6 mile post.
I don’t know if y’all know, but my brother is a 5th generation firefighter and visiting him at his fire station always makes for a fun time. I really admire him for his passion to help people.

Last on my list is Kill Devil’s Custard. O. M. G. best ice cream ever. It is so creamy and delicious. I only had it twice this summer while I was being healthy but it was worth every bite.
Other favs not pictured would be Mama Kwans, Blue Moon, Black Pelican, and Surfing Spoon. Of course, all food haha.
I have adored my last summer at the beach. It was especially nice to spend that time with my parents, but I am extremely excited to begin my life with Ryan. We always planned on moving to Virginia Beach even before we were engaged and I am so proud that we are making those plans happen. The adventure is just beginning…
