Ok, so y’all already know the details on my brother’s engagement ring and our shopping adventure (blog here and IGTV here if you missed it). NOW let’s talk about HOW he popped the question!

Sascha, his now fiancee, had planned a Christmas in July photoshoot with Sarah D’Ambra Photography so they could get photos for Christmas cards while their new pup, Tuna, was still small. Trever saw this as the perfect window to propose AND capture the moment.

We had a few hiccups. And by “we” I mean, I was late.

I wanted to get there to capture the whole thing on camera but I was running behind and tried to secretly let Trever know. Fortunately, I was only a few minutes late, and after I finally spotted them between the pylons of Jennette’s Pier in the Outer Banks I waved to Trever and he started the series of events!

My Brother’s Proposal Plan:

Step 1: Put “Will you” tag on Tuna’s collar.

Step 2: Have Sascha read the tag.

(also, don’t drop the gorgeous 1.29-carat beauty)

Step 3: GET DOWN ON ONE KNEE!

Adorable right?! And I love that they are still wearing their Christmas hats! Such an unforgettable and unique moment!

We were both so excited that she loved the Diamonds Direct ring that we hunted for as well.

I am also PUMPED to have a sister soon!

Now that my brother’s proposal is out of the way, I’ll keep y’all posted on their planning! Oh, and I can hardly WAIT to see what band she picks out to go with it!

Of course, Trever had no idea about the band element either…oh boys! Looks like we may have to do another IGTV on that process so stay tuned!
