Last week I attended the Blog Societies Fifth Annual Conference in Chicago and it was amazing! I wore this outfit for what I would consider the most important day of the conference, the day we meet brands.
I knew I wanted something that stood out and was colorful like me so I hit up my local Lilly Pulitzer store. This top caught my eye immediately because it is far from a classic Lilly pattern and the tassels are SO me. Ahem, threads.
I had recently sworn off off the shoulder tops because they make it hard to do so many things. Like hugging and driving are pretty much off limits but this one surprised me with its ability to stay in place.
All to say, I think it definitely made an impression.
One of the brands I got the opportunity to hang out with that day was Vera Bradley. The women that work for them are absolutely radiant so I was drawn to their booth right away. They kindly gifted me this bag and I haven’t put it down since! The leather is like butter and the gold accents couldn’t be any more perfect! It is such a quality bag that I know I will use for years to come.
Bright coral mules finished off my look. I have been mule obsessed lately because they are comfortable, give you a bit of a heel, and they transition well into fall! I picked these bad boys up (in pink too) the day before flying to Chicago…nothing like waiting till the last minute! Bonus, they’re under $20!
That evening, my roommates and I celebrated a day of awesome networking by popping some bubbly 😉…
Shout out to One Hope for this extremely instagramable bottle of champagne!
We enjoyed it throughly!
I will be posting more about my trip and what I learned but in the mean time you should go check out my roomie’s blogs! Meghan (on the left) blogs at I’m Fixin’ To and Kristina (on the right) blogs at Medicine and Manicures.
There is nothing quite like getting to spend some time with ladies that strive for the same goals as you! And it certainly helps to have someone ready and willing to help you take blog pics by your side😉! Miss you girls already!
