Summer Sundress and Summer Face

Crochet Sundress

If I am being honest, when I leave my house in the summertime I very seldom get dolled up. Unless I am meeting a client, its a no makeup and sundress (or pjs) kind of day for me.

Which really got me thinking how I portray myself. On this blog I talk about everything from cracking crabs to fashion to travel. Today, I want to talk about being comfortable in your own skin.

I realize this looks different for all of us. We all have different insecurities. I honestly never thought as a little girl that I would care so much about what my eyebrows look like lol.

One of my biggest insecurities has always been legs. I actually talked badly about them in a past post but changed it after a friend texted me and reminded me that that was not in line with my blood type life motto to B+.

But as Hannah Montana said, “no body’s perfect, I gotta work it.”

And that’s what I’m doing! I am makeup free in today’s post and I will actually be headed to Water Country this weekend where I will be showing off my legs lol. Can’t water tube in shorts! Lol I guess you could but that’s beside the point.

My legs aren’t who I am!

The same God that thought to make the sun rise so beautifully over this amazing beach that I get to call home, also made you and I. I am constantly reminding myself of that.

“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” Matthew 6:26-27

We are valuable and so loved and have no need to worry.

I love this so much!! I can so relate to you – there are so many things we can pick apart about our bodies but when we do that we are dwelling on the wrong things. We miss out on so much joy and life when we are drowning in self doubt and self hate! I just went makeup free for the weekend because we were camping and it was freeing!! It is good to let go and rest in who we are made to be.

    XOXO
