How I Made My First Tasty-Like Video

How to make a Tasty-Like Video

My newest social media management client is The Royal Chocolate and let me tell y’all…it has been SO fun photographing their products! Not going to lie, I definitely ate a lot of them too.

They have amazing chocolate dipped everything but their apples were really a game changer for me. I actually bought 7 for Fathers Day gifts because they are THAT good. PS they also ship their goodies 😉 .

I had never had a chocolate dipped apple (or candy apple for that matter) because I was scared of biting into them. Turns out, that is not how you eat them anyway! This was news to me so I thought it would be cool to do a Tasty-like video to show how to cut a chocolate apple!

Below you can see my very sophisticated set up (sarcasm). First, I filmed it all with my DSLR and a white board in front of the brightest window in my house. Excuse the mess, this room is acting as a shed till our new shed is built

I then uploaded the video to iMovie where I sped it up and added captions. iMovie is also great because it has free music that you can add!

A Tasty-like video! Here is the finished product…

It has done really well on their Facebook page so far and I am pumped.

If you haven’t heard, Facebook is giving higher priority these days to videos. So, if you are a business owner this is something to think about when trying to reach your followers!

I am so excited about the possibilities this video opens my blog to! I am hoping to do a video on my favorite summer cocktail and a few other fun how to’s! Stay tuned!

I feel embarrassed to admit I also thought you were supposed to “bite into” chocolate covered apples and avoided them because it seemed like such a mess. I can see why this video is doing so well on your client’s Facebook page, great job!

Ahh, thank you for this tutorial! I can think of a few ways I could use these on my blog 🙂 And I love that it explains how to cut a caramel apple because they are my favorite! Now I know the trick is cutting them into smaller pieces 😉
