Make it Monday: Me Time

Me TimeY’all. Being a puppy mom is no joke. I don’t think I have ever said “no” so many times in my life. Don’t get me wrong, I love him to death already, but I never take my eyes off of him. SO I did a little research today on some free ways to get your “me time” in and I thought I would share them with you…

Take a Bath

I usually shower as fast as I can to get on to my next activity. I can’t even remember the last time I took a bath but just sitting for 5 minutes in warm water can take you to a place of unexpected peace. Add in a drop of lavender essential oil, a few candles and you are sure to feel relaxed. (Bath bombs look cool but I am pretty sure the anticipation of cleaning the rainbow mess would stress me, lol.)

At Home Yoga

What on earth did people do before the internet. This morning I woke up, took the pup out and came inside for for the quickest yoga sesh known to man BUT is was ultra refreshing and de-stressing. Just what i needed. Don’t work from home, no stress. This yoga at your desk looks awesome. I am also pretty pumped to try this bedtime yoga. Praise hands emoji!

Quiet Time

There is nothing quite like taking a few minutes to read when I get a little “me time”. Reading helps me to take my mind off of my own world and to do lists which of course is relaxing. What do I read? Well I just started Harry Potter and the Cursed Child but I have also been reading The Circle Maker with my lifegroup. It is an awesome book about praying big prayers and I am all about it. Another book you can always find me spending time in, my Bible. I am no pro but I am dedicated to reading it and spending time in it.

What do you like to do to unwind?

As a somewhat new puppy mom myself, I can appreciate everything you’ve said here. My little English Bulldog is 8 months old and the love of my life, but some days he drives me absolutely nuts. He can be so sweet one day, and then a complete monster the next. Taking time for yourself is something I’m terrible at, but is good for the both of you 🙂

I’m new to your blog, and already head over heels in <3 with it. Adding to my daily reading list!
