It has been quite a while since I have done a home update so I figured I would give y’all a little peek into my home office today!
As you can see in the above “before” photo, the room looked dark and drabby when we first bought the house. The carpet was the first thing to go and thank goodness these beautiful hardwoods were underneath! Having them refinished one of the best decisions we could have made for our new home! The floors are now so easy to maintain and they look gorgeous.
My office isn’t only a place for me to work, but it also doubles as my walk in closet! As you can see I have a rack for my clothes, shelving for my purses and a full length mirror for getting ready!
If you saw my daydream post for my office, you can see that a lot has been accomplished! I still have a few things I want to add though…like curtains…
…and overtop of this shelving, I would love to do a boxwood accent piece like Pink Social has here! Can’t you just see it with an acrylic “Tilley’s Threads” logo? I. Could. Die.
The most important thing for me in this room though has be functionality. I have so much junk but I like it to be neatly in its place. My cute little bench doubles as a place to store all my craft supplies. The boxes in my shelves hold jeans, shorts and bathing suits. On the back of one of the doors I have this handy shoe rack.
The only think that has stumped me thus far is a place to display my massive scarf collection because…My name is Tilley and I have a scarf addiction. This isn’t an addiction I am willing to find a cure for though 😉

This is coming out so cute! I just moved into a new place and have a new office space. My husband bought me my dream desk and I’ve been slowly expanding and growing it! I love having a creative space!
