A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of breaking bread with some of Virginia Beach’s most creative women at the Creative Union Dinner. The event was hosted by Mary of Bluebird’s Garage and Zoe of Andi and Zoe Photography and was absolutely amazing. Zoe took all the beautiful pics in this post!
The night began with everyone arriving to New Earth Farm in Pungo. When you think of Virginia Beach, I know you think of the Ocean Front but have you heard of Pungo? It is the country side of town and it is freaking adorable and full of color.
I mean, look at these jars! I don’t like pickled things but this is a decorating idea I would gladly jump on board with 😉 .
Once we were all there, the interactive cooking lesson began! We introduced ourselves while chopping, mixing and of course a little sipping.
My double chin only comes out when I am having a great time and/or there is pasta around.
Turns out, we had both! Homemade pasta, at that! #nom
The gorgeous tablescape was provided by Anthropologie of Virginia Beach.
If we are being honest, I was jealous of the puppy plate that my friend had.
But seriously, how BEAUTIFUL?!
While eating we talked about what it takes to be a creative #girlboss.
My biggest takeaway: don’t give up.
Speaking of bosses…look at that cat. It’s name is Spirit. It made me a little nervous in a Stranger Things kind of way.
There is a Creative Union Dinner every season and I cannot wait to see what Mary and Zoe dream up for the fall one!
Hanging with these women and attending #TBSCON this month has inspired me like no other. Now I just need to work on materializing my ideas! Wish me luck!
This event looks so amazing! And now I need some good pasta.
