Make It: Curly Waves

They say most everything in life takes practice and before I dive into telling y’all how I do my hair, I cannot stress enough that PRACTICE is the main way you are going to have a hair do we love. I can’t tell you how many times I try a top knot or fancy braid and hate it. I am sure if I took time to practice and perfect the look, I’d love it. Same goes for my curly wave look.
This is the result of, dare I say, years of practice BUT I totally believe you can accomplish it too so lets dive in!
Begin with drab hair (sorry, that’s how I feel about my life lol) and your curling iron. I have always used a 3/4 inch basic Conair Iron. And when I say always…I mean…for as long as I can remember this has been my go to curling iron. It’s cheep and it works.

Next, you are going to split your hair into two sections, the left side and the right side. I always begin on my left side by wrapping a 1/2 inch to 1 inch section of hair around the barrel. It is important to wrap the hair away from your face.

Once you have done the whole left side move on to the right. Again, wrap the hair away from your face. This creates symmetry and helps it to fall in a more glam way 😉

Once every piece is curled, tousle it with your fingers and go!
