5 Fashion Tips for Brides

It seems every time I look at Facebook these days, someone new is engaged and I love it. Being engaged is such a magical time in a couples lives and I think it should be celebrated to the MAX! White has always been one of my favorite colors to rock so when we got engaged I went all out on white dresses, white rompers, the whole nine yards. As a bride, you never know when you’re going to need to look the part so I have put together a few tips to help you be ready for anything!
My first tip, is to find some shoes you can wear with any bridal look. I wore these Steve Madden Strappy Heels to practically every event I went to as the bride. They are classic and make your legs look great!
It is easy to get caught up in doing what everyone thinks you should do but if you want to wear a crop top or anything else that might be against the status quo to any of your wedding events, do it. So naturally, tip 2 is to be yourself. I wore this Taylor Swift inspired look to our rehearsal dinner. There were def some people that judged my attire but I was happy as a clam and felt super glam (that’d make a great rap lyric, call me Niki).
Following tip 2, tip 3 is that it is also important to consider who will be in attendance at your event. A bridal shower with small children in attendance requires a tasteful look that might be a little different than what you wear to a club for your bachelorette party.
No matter the occasion, you will most likely always end up wearing accessories you didn’t plan on wearing like my above crown and bow bouquet. People like to give you sashes and veils and other crazy items so I suggest going light on the jewelry when you are getting ready for an event. Also, when you wear a veil, people will pretty much let you do whatever you want, so take advantage of it.
As a lover of white, I wore the color for every event but the beauty of being a bride is that you can do whatever you want. I particularly love when brides wear blue like fashion blogger Vandi Fair did here to her Cinderella inspired bridal shower. Get it? “Something blue.”
Here are a few outfits I love right now for brides:
No matter what, cherish each moment because it goes by so fast!
