This, my dear friends, is our new living room! A photo I stole off of Zillow…but still our living room. I know I have already show y’all a glimpse of my decor plans (click here) but I wanted to show you the bones of what I am working with!
I don’t know if these photos do it any justice, but it is a HUGE room! The only reason we haven’t moved in yet is because we are having these floors (as well as the carpet in the bedrooms) pulled up to expose gorgeous hard wood floors!
We ran into one snag in the process…
When Carlos (our awesome floor man) pulled everything up, he found this. I freaked out and thought it was a trap door but…come to find out, it was just a free standing closet. Whew!
It cost a little extra, but he was able to fix it. Don’t you just love his font choice for the “before” and “after” collage he sent me? Lol. He is great about sending me progress reports and he really did an amazing job! I really do love the raw look of the floors but I choose to go with a dark stain to contrast our new white couches…
I choose Minwax color “Dark Walnut” and I can’t wait to see the finished product!
