Make It Monday: At Home Facials

SO. My BFF was in town last week (praise hands emoji). After we got caught up on our crazy lives (her costume design in NYC and my freelance escapades and moving), we decided we needed to take a quick moment to unwind and treat ourselves and what better way than with a facial?! Being the creatives that we are, we glanced around her mom’s kitchen saw the ingredients for the perfect at home spa fix!
All you need is one avocado, an egg white, two teaspoons of olive oil and one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (or in our case, all we had was white vinegar). We doubled the recipe but it really wasn’t necessary lol…One batch it probably enough for at least 8 faces.
Begin by separating the egg white from the yoke.
Next, slice your avocado and remove outer skin and inner seed.
Then, add liquid ingredients and mix. When you end up with something that looks like gauc, you’re done!
After taking a snapchat (obvi) it was time to apply to our faces!
Make sure your skin is completely clean. Apply mixture as thick as possible and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
We definitely look like Shrek’s cousins, but it worked amazingly! We applied moisturizer after washing it off and felt so refreshed the rest of the day!
What do you like to do when your BFF is in town?
