Galentine’s Party

Have you ever wanted to change a holiday? Well in my personal opinion, Valentine’s Day should be more like Thanksgiving! Not following? Come on! What says “I love you” more than sitting around a table with the people you care about and consuming delicious food?!
This idea (plus my love of pink) inspired me to collaborate with one of my fav bloggers (who I also happened to go to High School with, GO BRUINS), Melinda from My House of Style on creating the perfect Galentine’s party! And would you believe we did it for under $20?!
To begin setting up your Galentine’s Day celebration, inventory what you already have in your house! I had my sequin tablecloth from the wedding, all the plates, bowls and flatware, and of course this adorable pitcher that doubled as a vase for our gorgeous tulips ($8 at Fresh Market).
We scored the glitter name tags from the dollar section at Target and these cute table mats? Wreaths from the DOLLAR STORE!
Aren’t they the cutest?!
(just fyi, we styled a regular sized dinner plate under them with a salad plate on top)
The candy, heart balloons, and glitter heart cut outs were also found at the dollar tree. They really had the cutest things at the DT and it made decorating so affordable!
We added my office bar cart to the mix to have somewhere to display our cute heart drink stirs (also dollar tree, amazing). Plus, whats a party without a bar cart?! #basic
Just text your best gals (or send a hilarious invite), have everyone bring a dish, and you are all set for a fun night! Your GFs will love you for hosting and you BF/hubs will be thankful the pressure’s off him for the night 😉
