We Never Go Out of Style

I’m baaaaack! Let me tell you, honeymoon was epic BUT that is a post for another day 😉 today, I am going back to exactly two weeks ago for our wedding rehearsal. I dreamt of a tasteful two piece (like something my girl T. Swift would wear) for months for this special occasion. I hunted. And hunted. And HUNTED. With no luck…I began to look at other options (like rompers and dresses, #basic) until I decided to look into creating the outfit of my dreams myself.
I had admired this Lilly top as soon as it came out so I bought it and took it to my extremely talented seamstress (who is also a taxidermist HA). She cut the top in half and then I just needed a skirt to match. If I am being honest…I decided I could make it myself. I found tutorials online about how easy a circle skirt was to make and it seemed like a great solution because finding a skirt to match the whitest white at the end of the summer turned out to be quite the venture. I bought the fabric and the sewing pattern and…….that’s about as far as I got.
About a week before the wedding, it was crunch time. I looked to Esty and Queen and Princess out of Florida saved the day. They made me this white skirt and rushed it to me just in time. I am so glad I didn’t settle on my dream of this outfit because I am obsessed with how it turned out. Plus, you better believe I will wear these pieces again. That white after Labor Day rule can kiss my butt ;).
The night was perfect! We rehearsed and after all our loved ones prayed over us, we headed to Basnights for dinner. We dinned under the stars on crab dip, BBQ and cornbread nom. My favorite part of the night was probably Ryan’s speech. He always talks about how he doesn’t think he is a good public speaker but he killed it. So strong, confident, loving, funny and hot! Hehe
