THE Dress

Saturday morning, myself, my Mom, my Grannie, my future Mother-in-Law and my Maid of Honor (who came ALL THE WAY from New York a.k.a. best friend ever) went to Virginia Beach bright and early to hunt down my WEDDING dress. Crazy. Hard to believe. It was so nice to have them with me on the hunt…everyday since we have gotten engaged has feel like my birthday because everyone makes me feel so loved and special 🙂
Our first appointment went swimminly. They had such a HUGE selection…it was a tad overwhelming but thank God Nicole knows my style so well and so much about fabric in general working in costume design that she immediately took to the racks for me.
She also did a great job as photographer…how cute is she?
With the help of my consultant I found two dresses I liked a lot, but I was in no place to make a decision so then we were off to lunch. My Aunt lives nearby so she fixed us an amazing meal complete with hommade cupcakes! It was so nice to decompress before appointment #2.
At our next stop, I found another dress I really liked! The boutique had less of a selection but was breathtaking! Unfortunately though, I became terribly overwhelmed so we left shortly upon arriving. They were helpful but less accommodating than the first store so it made it hard for me to love the dress even though it made everyone I was with cry…
Luckily, we found another boutique nearby and they were so kind as to fit us in without an appointment! I found TWO that I liked there too! Ahhh…what is a girl to do?
Saying “yes” to the man was easy but no
one warns you about saying “yes” to the dress haha. Everyone says you
will have that moment where you just KNOW that it is YOUR dress.
Although I am positive I well feel beautiful on our wedding day, I am skeptical to that magical feeling everyone talks about…I will let you know if my opinions change.
We took a lot of pictures of me in dresses that day, so looking back I am becoming more and more decisive about what I want to look like the day we say, “I do,” so that is a plus!
…I think I will make a decision soon but for now I will channel my inner Beyonce as a Feyonce because I refuse to acknowledge that I may have been a bit of a bridezilla this weekend.
T-Shirt from esty but I am guessing it can’t be found anymore because of this lawsuit //
